The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that on New Year’s Eve, Russian troops continued to shell the city of Kherson. They targeted the children’s hospital, as a result, 1 civilian was killed and 1 injured.

“Kherson. Russian troops did not stop attacking the city on New Year’s Eve. As a result of another Russian shelling, 1 person was killed, and 1 was injured. The building of the regional children’s hospital was damaged. About 7 missile “arrivals” were recorded, and more than 700 windows were broken. The information is being clarified,” said the e Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the hospital staff evacuated 17 children, 4 parents and 38 employees to the basement before the arrival of fire and rescue units.
“Also, there were 2 hits in another building of the hospital. There was no fire. The windows were broken, and the wall was damaged. There were no people in the building at the time of the shelling. 26 rescuers and 3 units of the emergency services were involved in the work,” added the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
