The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin met with the first expert mission from the Kingdom of Spain and thanked his colleagues for agreeing to work in Ukraine and provide assistance in documenting the crimes committed during the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.
“Thank you that even in spite of Russian rocket attacks, you worked selflessly, recording the evidence,” Andriy Kostin commented on the work of Spanish experts.
As noted, during their stay in Ukraine, representatives of the National Police and Civil Guard of the Kingdom of Spain inspected 15 damaged infrastructure facilities as part of 9 criminal proceedings.
According to the results, appropriate 3D models of civil and critical infrastructure objects on the territory of Kyiv and the Kyiv region, which were damaged as a result of Russian missile strikes were compiled. Such 3D models allow getting details about the size of the object and all its damages at any time.
“Your [Spanish – ed.] support today is very important for us. Only with the joint efforts of the civilized world, uniting around the values of the rule of law and the inviolability of human rights, will we be able to bring the aggressor to justice and prevent the recurrence of crimes in the future,” said the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
