Russian troops shelled 6 settlements in the Donetsk region killing 1 civilian

The National Police of Ukraine noted that Russian troops had carried out 11 strikes on the Donetsk region (east of Ukraine) on December 17, 2022. Six settlements were shelled. Unfortunately, there is a dead civilian.

In particular, Russian soldiers carried out five fire attacks on Avdiivka. Chasiv Yar, Druzhkivka, Ocheretyno, Pivnichne and the village of Ivanopillia were also affected by Russian shelling.

Russian troops hit the civilian population with Grad multiple rocket launchers and artillery. As a result of shelling, three residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged.

“A rocket attack on Druzhkivka was recorded. Russian shells hit the infrastructure and cars. As a result of artillery shelling, one civilian was killed in the city of Chasiv Yar,” clarified the National Police of Ukraine.

The police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, continuing to collect evidence of Russian war crimes.
