“This year, the UN directed more than 4.5 billion dollars to provide humanitarian aid to the population of Ukraine, which suffered as a result of the aggression of the Russian Federation, and to Ukrainians who left the country. We appreciate such support and hope that in 2023 the UN will at least maintain such amounts of aid. We also agreed to develop additional areas of aid,” said the Ukrainian Prime Minister.

In particular, the head of the government emphasized the need to support the restoration of the energy infrastructure in Ukraine, because 12 million Ukrainians are in conditions of partial or complete lack of electricity due to Russian missile attacks.

“The Ukrainian government is doing everything possible to overcome the consequences of the shelling of Russians, the consequences for the population and the economy. At the same time, Ukraine needs additional support in the immediate restoration of the energy system,” explained Denys Shmyhal.
