The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported about 2 killed and 8 injured civilians as a result of Russian shelling of the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine on December 9, 2022.

“During the day, Russian troops shelled the Kherson region 51 times. They used mortars, MLRS and barrel artillery. 8 people were injured. 2 people died. As a result of the attack, the residential quarters of the city were damaged, as well as hospital, shops and warehouses. Russian shells also damaged infrastructure facilities,” noted the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
In addition, a part of Kherson has no electricity due to Russian missile attacks.
“At night and in the morning, Russian soldiers shelled Kherson. Due to damage to power lines, the city centre was once again without power. 2,549 subscribers do not have electricity,” explained the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
