The full-scale Russian war in Ukraine brought not only death and destruction to Ukraine. Millions of Ukrainians live in a state of constant stress and anxiety and are forced to contact psychologists and psychiatrists for help.

“Since the beginning of the war, 650,000 Ukrainians have turned to psychologists and psychiatrists in the health care system, and they have received help. There are also a large number of psychologists at various levels outside the health care system, both state and non-state,” noted the Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko.
According to Viktor Liashko, Ukraine should make the provision of medical and psychological assistance more accessible.
The Minister noted that training and provision of psychological assistance will be introduced for family medicine doctors, and clinical psychologists and psychotherapists will appear in hospitals. Additional courses on working with psychological trauma and its diagnosis will also be introduced.
Ukrainians can get psychological help both in Ukraine and abroad. Earlier Viktor Liashko said that people in Ukraine “aged” by 10-15 years because of the war.
