Germany will provide Ukraine with €20M for the purchase of equipment for critical infrastructure

Oleksiy Chernyshov, the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine said on October 25, 2022, that Ukraine had reached a preliminary agreement with Germany on the allocation of 20 million euros for the purchase of reserve equipment for critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine which were damaged due to Russian missile attacks.

“Germany will allocate 20 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of reserve equipment that will help to be ready to respond to Russian terrorist attacks on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. Such preliminary agreements were reached during a meeting with Steffi Lemke, Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection of Germany,” noted the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

It is noted that the allocated funds will primarily be used to purchase mobile generators, automatic pumping stations for water supply, and mobile thermal power plants.

Oleksiy Chernyshov expects that the agreements will be formalized in the near future.
