430 Ukrainian children have already died as a result of the bombings, shelling and fighting by Russian troops since the beginning of the large-scale invasion. 818 children received injuries of varying degrees of severity. Such statistics are provided by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine as of the morning of October 22, 2022.

“As of the morning of October 22, 2022, more than 1,248 Ukrainian children were affected as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 430 children died and more than 818 were injured of various degrees of severity,” noted the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
At the same time, the most affected children were in the Donetsk region – 417, 260 – in the Kharkiv region, 116 – in the Kyiv region, 77 – in the Mykolaiv region, 69 – in the Zaporizhzhia region, 68 – in the Chernihiv region, 64 – in the Luhansk region, 57 – in the Kherson region, and 31 – in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The department states that the figures are not final, it was not possible to find out all the cases in the places of active hostilities and the temporarily occupied territories. Also, work is still ongoing to identify the consequences of military operations and the circumstances of the deaths of children in the recently liberated territories of Ukraine.
