A plane crash probably occurred in the Russian city of Yeysk on the evening of October 17, 2022. The plane crashed into a high-rise building which caught fire. Information about the dead and injured civilians is being clarified.

Russian mass media write that the plane probably fell on residential buildings on Zachidna Street in Yeysk.
Eyewitnesses report that the aircraft was a military one. Russian media say that the Russian pilot almost managed to catapult himself. The high-rise building was engulfed in flames after the plane fell.
The videos show that explosion occurred as a result of the fall of the plane. It is also noticeable that the fire covered all floors of the building. In the video, you can also hear how explosions sound like a detonation of ammunition during the fire. According to preliminary data, the Su-34’s engine failed during the flight.

Russian mass media also write that two ambulance crews are working at the scene of the disaster in Yeysk. However, they cannot get close to the building due to heavy smoke.
According to preliminary data, the Russian Su-34 fighter jet fell. Previously, it carried a full set of ammunition on board. Due to the fall of the plane, at least 15 apartments were damaged.
Petro Andryushchenko, the adviser to the mayor of the Ukrainian city of Mariupol, noted that Yeysk is close to the airport from where Russian planes take off to bomb Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions of Ukraine.
