German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on September 22, 2022, that the G7 countries would not recognize the pseudo-referendums that Russia was preparing to hold in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

“Russia must immediately stop its aggression, withdraw its troops and military equipment from Ukraine and respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and the territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.”
The G7 also called upon Russia to stop its forced deportations of civilians from Ukraine to Russia and cease all filtration operations.
G7 countries also promise further point sanctions and continued economic and political pressure on the Russian Federation.
“The G7 reaffirmed that their aim was to establish a broad coalition in order to maximize effectiveness and called on all countries that still seek to import Russian oil and petroleum products to commit to doing so only at prices at or below the price cap.”
The ministers confirmed the readiness to continue economic, financial, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support to Ukraine for as long and on such a scale as it will be necessary to ensure Ukraine’s way to freedom, peace, reconstruction and economic development.
