“There are cases established in criminal proceedings of sexual violence against children. Five children between the ages of 4 and 16 have been identified as victims of this category of war crimes. But we all understand that there are more such crimes than I have already mentioned. This is a difficult job.”

According to Prosecutor General, they work with children with the direct participation of a psychologist who helps investigators. In particular, in some cases, some testimonies can be used as evidence in these criminal proceedings.

“You know that any sexual crimes have very high latency, sorry for that word, it’s a legal term. That is, such crimes are committed much more than is known because many people do not want to communicate for various reasons. Therefore, we can rely only on those facts regarding which we have certain statements and regarding which certain testimony is provided,” – summed up the Prosecutor General.
