The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain said that since August 29, the Armed Forces of Ukraine resumed offensive operations in the south of Ukraine. One of the elements of this offensive is a continuous advance on a broad front to the west of the Dnipro River.
It is focused on three directions within the Russian-occupied territories of the Kherson region.
“The operation has limited immediate objectives, but Ukraine’s forces have likely achieved a degree of tactical surprise; exploiting poor logistics, administration and leadership in the Russian armed forces.”
The Ministry of Defence added that due to the fact that hostilities also continue in Donbas and the Kharkiv direction (east of Ukraine), the most important decision for occupiers in the coming days will be where to send any operational reserve that they can create.
