According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, the advanced group of the UN cannot continue the movement for security reasons.
“Ukraine continues to make efforts to organize the safe access of the international IAEA mission to the nuclear power plant. We demand from the Russian Federation to stop provocations and grant the IAEA unimpeded access to the Ukrainian nuclear facility,” Starukh adds.
The IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said the mission was aware of “increased military activity in the area” but was sticking to its plan to visit the nuclear facility and meet with its personnel.
“There is increased military activity in the area. We’re not stopping once we’ve gone this far,” Grossi said.
