“There is a certain lack of providing such information – the territory is temporarily occupied. But a database of specific people has been formed from those messages. Today, there are 63 representatives of local self-government bodies and about 300 pro-Ukrainian activists are kidnapped,” said Butrii.
According to Butrii, the number of kidnapped people is actually much higher, because the Russian invaders intensified their terror against the civilian population. They check cars, personal belongings, and phones. Men are forced to undress, and if the Russian military does not like something (the phone, tattoos, etc.), then “people are simply taken away.”
As the head of the region explained, information is received that a person has been taken away, but it is not always possible to confirm the specific surname of the kidnapped person.
He noted that the Ukrainian military step by step is approaching the liberation of Kherson from the Russian occupiers.
