“We can say that a breakthrough has occurred in the course of military operations. We see that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have begun counteroffensive actions in the Kherson region. We can say that by September, Kherson Oblast will be liberated, and all the plans of the occupiers will collapse,” he said.
The official noted that the Ukrainian military destroyed the ammunition with well-aimed strikes on the occupiers’ warehouses, and with strikes on the Antoniv and Daryiv bridges, deprived them of the opportunity to quickly bring in a new one. Thus, conditions were created for a successful counteroffensive.
In order to replenish supplies, the occupiers have to resort to tricks: transporting small batches of weapons and disguising them as “humanitarian aid”.
Earlier, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that the Ukrainian army probably has already started a counteroffensive in the Kherson region. According to Serhii Khlan, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already achieved certain successes.
