The humanitarian catastrophe in the temporarily Russian-occupied Mariupol is intensifying every day. People have nothing to eat and they have already hunting pigeons.

“Pigeon hunting in Mariupol. Not everyone has enough food, so many citizens, without receiving humanitarian aid from the Russian occupiers, catch and eat pigeons. Special traps are set for birds,” Denys Kazanskyy wrote, posting a photo of the traps.
The photo shows how people on the side of the road set plastic boxes turned upside down on sticks, and grain was poured under them. According to the plan, the birds will fly to peck at the grain, accidentally flip a stick and will be trapped under a box.
According to Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boychenko, the city is on the verge of an epidemiological catastrophe – there are tons of garbage on the streets, and diseases such as cholera and dysentery are spreading among the residents. Also, residents of Mariupol barely survive due to the lack of drinking water.
