Western countries must demonstrate resilience in the aftermath of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine and continue to support the people of Ukraine in their fight against Russian aggression.

“The situation with the war in European Ukraine remains serious. We have talked about it a lot. Unfortunately, none of us sees the end of this war at the moment. It is a common problem for all Europeans and global concern,” said the Finnish leader.
He noted that one of the words that comes to mind in this situation is the word “sustainability”.
“This is the sustainability of the people of Ukraine, who are going through the hardest test, through many casualties and injuries. They (Ukrainians – ed.) are fighting bravely, and it seems they will continue to fight. We hoped that Russia’s resilience would be weakened in some way. We do want to help Ukraine, and I want to emphasize that we will continue to do what we have already started to do.”
He also noted that the decision of Finland to join NATO after the Russian military aggression against Ukraine was a historic event and a triumph for Finnish democracy.
