Germany announced medical support package for Ukraine

Germany will provide medical support to Ukraine by helping with prosthetics, setting up trauma centres and sending its doctors.

German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach arrives in Lviv (west of Ukraine) on June 10. He said Ukraine needed humanitarian aid as well as military support

In Lviv, the Minister takes part in a donor conference on the establishment of a rehabilitation centre for war veterans and visits several hospitals.

According to the report, the German government will support the creation and operation of container workshops for the production of prostheses by Otto Bock.

Through the Ministry of Health, 200 surgeons and ambulance doctors will arrive in Ukraine through the German Medical Association, and a hospital in Berlin will train Ukrainian doctors to treat burns.

In collaboration with Charité Hospital, the German Robert Koch Institute will connect several additional hospitals in Ukraine to telemedicine consultations for the treatment of patients with severe injuries in the coming weeks.
