The United States has approved the transfer of MLRS long-range missile systems to Ukraine.

“The move, which could be announced as early as next week, involves the provision of the Multiple Launch Rocket System, or MLRS, a US weapon capable of firing a torrent of rockets many miles farther than current Ukrainian capabilities.”
Multiple launch rocket systems have been a major demand of Ukrainian politicians and diplomats in recent weeks. It has been announced that the missile systems approved for transfer to Ukraine have a range of 70 km.
