Russia hit the Ukrainian city Kharkiv with heavy weapons

In the last 24 hours, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv 3 times with rockets and artillery. They targeted residential areas in Saltivka, Pyatykhatky, and the vicinity of Kharkiv International Airport. One person was injured when the Russian military attacked Derhachi’s territorial community on the morning of May 1, 2022.

“In the last 24 hours, the Russians struck Kharkiv three more times with artillery together with multiple rocket launchers. Saltivka and Pyatykhatky were also damaged, as well as the airport district. Kharkiv’s emergency service extinguished 15 fires caused by the shelling in Nemyshlianskyy District of Kharkiv, Izyum, Kharkiv, and Chuhuiv Districts.” – reported the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Civil-Military Administration.

Syniehubov said that Russian shelling has declined in intensity due to the efforts made by Ukraine’s Armed Forces. Residents should be vigilant.

Later, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration stated that the occupiers had struck Kharkiv once more on the morning of 1 May 2022.

“Due to intense shelling, residents of Kharkiv’s northern and eastern districts, including Saltivka are urged not to leave their shelters during daylight hours without an urgent reason. Even if there is no siren for air-raid, Security comes first, so be cautious,” Oleh Synyehubov underlined.
