The European Union will work as quickly as it can to provide an official opinion on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

The Office of the President of Ukraine reports that the work of the European Commission to prepare an opinion on Ukraine’s readiness to receive candidate status will be significantly faster than in other countries that have also passed through it.
An optimistic deadline for granting Ukraine candidate status is – the EU summit at the end of June 2022.
“The EU continues to support Ukraine and its people by providing assistance. And we started working on providing an opinion based on the application for membership in Ukraine. We will work as fast as we can”.
