Russian troops damaged 1,100 medical facilities in Ukraine since the full-scale war

The part of the war crimes of Russian troops is related to attacks on hospitals. Russian soldiers have damaged 1,100 medical facilities in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion. More than 38 billion hryvnias will be needed to restore them.

As reported in the press center of the Ministry of Health, 144 Ukrainian medical institutions were completely destroyed. Such institutions will need to be rebuilt from scratch. Another 95 health care facilities have been almost fully restored. And 204 objects were partially repaired.

“Recovery of destroyed medical facilities is preliminarily estimated at more than 38 billion hryvnias,” the Ministry of Health of Ukraine concluded.

The largest number of medical facilities were damaged in the Kharkiv region — 249, 210 in the Donetsk region, 148 in the Mykolaiv region, 12 in the Kyiv region, and 41 in Kyiv. All medical facilities remained intact in the Kirovohrad, Lviv, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, as well as in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
