In recent years, Ikea has developed new strategies to increase sales and market share, opening collection points in city centres, building greener shops which do not sell large bulk furniture as well as opening a pop-up restaurant serving Scandinavian food in London. On top of that they have also opened a hotel in Sweden and plan on opening a second in the United States.
