Op-Ed: Can the news business survive?


ISIL. Ukraine. Ferguson. Ebola. So much for slow news summers. But while outlets have plenty to cover, they are worrying about the mounting cost of their coverage. The Internet has eroded so much of the news’ revenue base, the industry now resembles Wile E. Coyote after he’s run off a cliff: caught in mid-air, legs churning furiously, waiting for gravity to do its deed.
