Washington, July 14: Russian-American lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin says he was part of the meeting held between Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and Kremlin lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya in June 2016. Akhmetshin had earlier been accused of having ties with the Russian intelligence agencies. He has served in the Soviet military in a unit, which works closely with the counterintelligence department.
The meeting was attended by Donald Trump’s son and his then campaign manager Paul Manafort . Trump Jr released a statement in the past week to give an insight of the meeting held with Russian nationals.
