The governments of Croatia and Albania askedÂ NATO to revise plans for its peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, arguing that nationalist rhetoric by Serbian politicians threatens to destabilize the region, Reuters reported Thursday.
In a letter to NATO chiefÂ Jens Stoltenberg, Croatian Defense MinisterÂ Damir KrstiÄeviÄ and his Albanian counterpartÂ Mimi Kodheli condemned the nationalistic rhetoric from Serb politicians. They said the aim of Belgrade’s actionsÂ is to undermine “Kosovo’s sovereignty” and toÂ “destabilize the security situation in the Western Balkans region.”
