World leaders are concerned that the cease-fire in Eastern Ukraine hasn’t begun

Despite the Minsk agreements (February 12, 2015) pro-Russian terrorists continue to violate the cease-fire in Donbas, Eastern Ukraine.

Today Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin, is said on the official Ukrainian President’s website:

“The Ukrainian President has urged to take all measures for the full and unconditional ceasefire, particularly in the area of Debaltseve, and begin the withdrawal of heavy weaponry under the control and verification of the OSCE.

The parties have agreed to continue their contacts for the implementation of the Minsk agreements.”

Nevertheless the General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine states:

“Marine corps units, Mykolaiv paratroopers, and Donbas battalion are deterring the enemy aggression near the village of Shyrokyne, repelling the attacks of the terrorists and not allowing the bandits to move into the territory of Ukraine. There are no other ATO units involved in the tasks at this section of the demarcation line.”

The press officer of the M sector Dmytro Chalyi also reports about everyday attacks and provocations by the pro-Russian forces:

“The attacks and provocations by the enemy have gone on for two day. They use mortars, tanks, and small arms against the Ukrainian military. We do not use our artillery, and respond only with small arms.”

The fightings continue in Debaltseve, Donetsk region. Pro-Russian forces carry out bombardment and assault actions in the town. Earlier the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) reported thar Minsk agreement about the ceasefire isn’t holding in cities Debaltseve and Luhansk.
