December 18 – 185 military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently being detained by Russian terrorists, another 298 are considered missing, – informed Acting Head of the press service of the General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces Vladyslav Seleznyov.

December 18 – Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes that ruble’s value will stop decreasing, and that the country will overcome crisis in 2 years.

Battalion commanders reported that they will let food supplies through only in exchange of prisoners: 1 truck with food supplies in exchange for 2 prisoners.

December 18 – It was obvious that Putin would accuse others in the state of existing relations between Russia and the West, – said President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite to reporters when arriving at the EU summit in Brussels.

December 18 – Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that Russia has the right to “adequate” response to EU Council sanctions because in “Brussels they should have understood already that Crimea and Sevastopol are an integral part of Russian Federation”.
