Operational report July 27, 2022 by the General Staff of AFU on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The heroic resistance of the Ukrainian citizens against a Russian military invasion continues on the 154th day.

Russian invaders continue to strike at civilian and military targets on Ukraine’s territory with air and missile attacks. The Russian army attacked Mykolayivka, Tovstodubovo, Volfyne and Senkivka as well as other settlements. It also periodically conducts illegal aerial reconnaissance of Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions in the border regions of Chernihiv or Sumy regions.

The Russian occupiers caused fire damage in the Kharkiv direction using barrel and rocket artillery. This was especially true in the vicinity of Kharkiv and Chuhuiv and Shevelivka and Krasnopillia. Russia is working to improve its logistic support by using pontoon crossings that cross water obstacles and attacked the settlements of Nortsivka, Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Adamivka, Mazanivka, Husarivka etc.

Russian shelling was heard in the Kramatorsk direction near Kryvya Luka and Spirne. Near Serebrianka, the Russian soldier launched an aerial strike. Russia illegally actively involved drones. Russian troops attacked in the Verkhnokamianske area. The assault was unsuccessful and it withdrew. Russia led shooting battles near the Soledar settlement, but without success. Conducted a reconnaissance war near Semihirya. Suffered fire damage and suffered casualties, and withdrew. At the moment, hostilities continue in the Semihirya-Kodema districts.

The Russian army is systematically shelling Ukrainian civilian and military infrastructures in the Avdiyivka and Novopavlivka and Zaporizhia areas. In the Pavlohrad region, an enemy UAV was captured. The Russian soldiers are focusing their efforts to stop the advance of Ukrainian troops in the South Buh direction. The enemy actively uses drones for aerial reconnaissance. Conducted systematic shelling near Osokorivka, Trudoliubivka, Tokarevo, Kiselivka, Partizanske, Kavkaz, Lozove, Prybuzke, Polyana, and Luparevo. The Russian occupiers launched airstrikes in the vicinity of Novomykolaiivka and Lyubomyrivka. However, they were unsuccessful and fled.

Russia’s naval force continues to operate in the waters of the Black Sea and Azov Seas. It is still conducting illegal reconnaissance, missile strikes against objects on the Ukrainian territory, and also blocking civilian shipping in the northern part of the Black Sea.
