Net migration to the UK fell to 248,000 in 2016, as number of EU nationals leaving rose by 31,000Net long-term migration to the UK fell to 248,000 last year, a decrease of 84,000 compared with 2015 and the lowest level seen in over two years. This was largely driven by an increase in emigration.
