Operational information on June 7, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The Ukrainian heroic resistance has been continuing for one hundred four (104) days since the Russian military invaded Ukraine.

Volyn-Polissia area still faces the threat of air and missile strikes from Belarus. It is planned to increase the number to 80 000 of the republic’s armed forces as part of the Southern Operational Command. It is planned that military units will be equipped with weapons and equipment at the cost of technical storage.

The enemy didn’t take any active action in the Siverskyi direction and there were no signs of the formation of strike units. To demonstrate the restraint and presence of the Defense Forces it maintains up to 3 battalion tactical units in the border areas between Bryansk and Kursk Oblasts. The territory of the Russian Federation was responsible for the mortar shelling of units in our troops’ areas in the Sumy Oblast, near the settlements of Hodyne, Velyka Pisarivka.

The enemy’s main focus in the Kharkiv direction is to maintain the occupied borders and border areas north of Kharkiv, as well as restrain our troops from moving. Remote mining is done in order to support the offensive of the Ukrainian Defence Forces on Rubizhne. In the Sloviansk direction, the Russian army is concentrating attacks in the areas of Izium and Sloviansk. It is moving in the direction of Dovhenke/Dolyna.

The enemy is attacking Ukrainian troops’ positions in the area of Brazhkivka and Hrushuvakha. It conducts air reconnaissance using unmanned aerial vehicles to assess the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and adjust artillery fire. In the Donetsk direction, the enemy also fired from helicopters and planes. The main aggressor’s efforts were concentrated on the Bakhmut and Siverskodonetsk areas. However, the enemy did not engage in active hostilities in Lyman. It launched a missile at Mykolayivka in the distance the 4 km east of Sloviansk. Fighting continues. The Russian army is suffering heavy losses from Ukrainian soldiers.

The Ukrainian army defeated the enemy’s offensive toward the villages of Nahirne, Berestove, Krynychne, Roty. Ukrainian helicopters attacked enemy forces in the Kherson area, while planes hit ammunition depots in Mykolayiv Oblast. The enemy lost more people than twenty and as many as ten units of their military equipment.

The Russian troops used artillery and aircraft to support them in their offensive operations against Lozove- Bila Krynytsia. However, they were unable to recover the position. The enemy carried out air reconnaissance of UAVs to clarify Ukrainian troops’ positions.

3 carriers of cruise missiles with naval-based calibre types are available for use in the Black Sea.

The defender of Ukraine in Donetsk, Luhansk, has repulsed 10 enemy strikes, destroyed one tank and 3 artillery systems, and one car. There are also two ammunition depots. Two unmanned Orlan-10 aerial vehicles were shot down by air defence units.
