Russians shelled a residential building in Zaporizhzhia: photos, video

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak reported that the Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia (a city in the south of Ukraine) on March 22, 2023. Residential buildings and the island of Khortytsia were hit.

Several powerful explosions rang out in the city.

“Russians are shelling Zaporizhzhia. Residential buildings, as well as the island of Khortytsia, are under Russian fire,” wrote the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine also noted about Russian shelling of the residential building in Zaporizhzhia. Volodymyr Zelenskyy also posted a video of the moment of hitting a building by rocket.

“Zaporizhzhia. Right now, a Russian missile hit a multi-storey building. Russia is shelling the city with bestial savagery. Residential areas where ordinary people and children live are being fired at. The terrorist state seeks to destroy our cities, our state, our people,” said the President of Ukraine.

According to the Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Anatolii Kurtiev, 18 people were injured as a result of Russian rocket attack on a high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia. Among them are two children. 11 people were hospitalized.

UPD: 25 civilians were injured and 1 was killed.
