Yatsenyuk held the official meeting with Hollande in Paris

The Press Service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports that Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk met with French President Francois Hollande and Prime Minister of France Manuel Valls during his official visit to Paris, France on May 13, 2015

“The prime minister of Ukraine and the president of the French Republic discussed specific steps to support Ukraine. They also discussed the implementation of the Minsk agreements, including persistent violations of the cease-fire on the part of the Russian-controlled terrorists. Yatseniuk informed Hollande on the steps of the Ukrainian side, aimed at strict observance of the Minsk agreements,” the Press Service states.

On Thursday, May 14, 2015 Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced at a Government meeting that France will help Ukraine to find property and bank accounts of Ukrainian officials on the territory of that country on request by the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine, National Anti-Corruption Bureau and State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine:

“French colleagues will help to find the property and bank accounts of Ukrainian officials on the territory of France by inquiries of law enforcement bodies of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, the State Financial Monitoring Service”, said Prime Minister of Ukraine.

“Former and present civil servants who have property in French Riviera. We will look for your property to prevent you from hiding it in offshore companies or from hiding your assets and bank accounts registered on third parties”, he stressed.

The Prime Minister stressed that relevant work was carried out by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine:

“We will further cooperate with law enforcement agencies of the United States of America and the European Union member countries as well on monitoring of all property and all assets of the former Yanukovych’s regime and the corruption of the former and present officials.”

Yatseniuk and Hollande agreed to hold an investment summit in Paris in autumn 2015 to present the investment potential of Ukraine:

“The large-scale privatization, started by the government of Ukraine, as well as the launch of the free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union of Jan. 1, 2016 open up new opportunities for trade and investment projects,” the Prime Minister said.
