Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk expects a drop in the gas price for Ukraine next year.
He said this at a press conference on Tuesday.
“Now we are expecting the gas price at $340 [per 1,000 cubic meters] for the first quarter of the next year, and possibly even lower,” he said, linking a potential drop in gas prices to the reduction of its value in Russia due to lower prices for Brent oil.
Yatseniuk added that, according to this trend, the prices of the gas supplied by European partners can be lowered.
