Yanukovych to hold presser Nov 25 following questioning via video conference

Russian state-owned news agency TASS has announced a press conference of fugitive president Viktor Yanukovych to be held in Rostov-on-Don November 25.

According to an UNIAN correspondent in Russia, the press conference is scheduled for 19:00 Moscow time on Friday.

”A press conference of the fourth president of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, will be held in Rostov-on-Don following his video conference with Svyatoshinsky District Court of Kyiv, as he will testify as a witness in the case into the events on the Maidan,” reads the announcement.

To attend the press conference, accreditation is needed: Russian journalists must present a valid passport and an editorial ID, while foreign journalists must present a passport and an accreditation ID issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

UNIAN memo. Svyatoshinsky District Court of Kyiv is hearing a case against five former Berkut police special forces troops: Pavlo Abroskin, Serhiy Zinchenko, Oleksandr Marinchenko, Serhiy Tamtura, and Oleh Yanyshevskiy, all accused of shooting Maidan activists in February 2014.

In May of this year, the court decided to interrogate Viktor Yanukovych as a witness in the case, via a video conference.

Tomorrow`s questioning of Viktor Yanukovych is scheduled for 13:00 Moscow time.

The Prosecutor in the case Oleksiy Donskoy did not rule out technical problems with the video link during interrogation.
