”World will become a crazier place”: reaction of world leaders on Trump`s victory

As the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, has won the presidential elections in the United States, world leaders responded to the news.

Trump got the required 270 electoral votes. In turn, his opponent Democrat Hillary Clinton called him and conceded the elections.

World leaders have already responded to the victory of Donald Trump.

In particular, President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz congratulated the Americans with the new president on Twitter, noting that Trump`s victory will be a difficult moment in relations between the U.S. and the European Union.

President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker has also congratulated Trump with the victory on Twitter.

”Congratulations Donald Trump. Only by cooperating closely can EU and US continue to make a difference in dealing with unprecedented challenges,” Juncker tweeted.

Germany has also reacted at Trump`s victory. German Justice Minister Heiko Maas wrote on Twitter that the world would be a crazier place after the victory of the Republican.

”The world will not end after this, but it will be crazier,” Maas tweeted.

”Choosing Trump is a bitter warning. We must even more decisively to deal with the causes that can lead to fear, hatred and isolation,” the minister added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message of greeting to Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. presidential election, according to the Kremlin website.

”In his message, Mr. Putin said he hopes for work together to lift Russian-U.S. relations out of the current crisis, resolve issues on the international agenda, look for effective responses to global security challenges,” the report says.

The results of the presidential elections in the United States raised concerns, said Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven, SVT channel reports.

”I believe that this election result cares as many people and markets. I would prefer the victory of Hillary Clinton for a variety of reasons. But it is also true that Sweden will have good relations with the United States, regardless of who becomes the President,” Lofven said.

The French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has also congratulated Trump. The greeting was published before the announcement of official results.

”I congratulate the new President of the United States Donald Trump and all free American people!” she wrote on Twitter.

Ukrainian politicians also did not stand aside and commented on the results of the U.S. presidential election.

”My greetings to American people on electing their new president. My greetings to Mr. Donald J. Trump on his victory. I am wishing the United States peace and prosperity and hope that the new administration will continue its support for Ukraine,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman wrote on Facebook.

NATO Secretary GeneralJens Stoltenberg has congratulated Donald Trump on his election as the next President of the United States and invited him to a NATO summit in Brussels.

”We face a challenging new security environment, including hybrid warfare, cyber attacks, the threat of terrorism. U.S. leadership is as important as ever. Our Alliance has brought together America`s closest friends in times of peace and of conflict for almost 70 years. A strong NATO is good for the United States, and good for Europe,” Stoltenberg said.
