United Cyber Caliphate: Pro-IS hackers announce data theft of U.S. State Dept. employees

A team of hackers supporting the Islamic State terror group announced Sunday it had stolen the names, phone numbers and other personal information of State Department employees, releasing some screenshots in a message vowing to ”crush” the United States, according to Fox News.
The hackers, known as the United Cyber Caliphate, made the announcement in a statement labeled ”Wanted to be killed,” Fox News reported.
Part of it reads, ”Your system failed to Tackling our attacks. Now we will Crush you again,” according to the Middle East Media Research Institute.
On Friday, the hackers claimed they accessed the personal details of some 18,000 Saudi security workers. Earlier last week, analysts said the ISIS-linked group posted the names of more than 3,500 New Yorkers, claiming, ”We want them dead.”
There was no immediate response from the State Department. U.S. President Barack Obama was set to discuss the war on ISIS, including the corresponding cyber fight, during a conference with European leaders in Germany Monday.
