Uniform patrol service will replace state traffic police, patrol-duty service

In Kyiv, the uniform patrol service will work instead of the state traffic police and the patrol-duty service from January 20, 2015.
Advisor to the Interior Minister Zorian Shkiriak said, the Interior Ministry press service informs.
“On January 20, in Kyiv, the transition and reformatting of the state traffic police and the patrol-duty service will begin into a uniform patrol service in Ukraine. The changes will affect both the visual upgrade of the patrol police and functionally they will be much more efficient,” Shkiriak said.
He added that fairly serious principles of professional selection will be applied for this.
“I would not like to say in advance, but I think that from the beginning to the appearance of any real objective results – 4-6 months are needed, possibly less. We will do this in a fairly short period of time, because the society demands reforms,” the Adviser to the Interior Minister stressed.
According to him, after the capital, this experience will be practiced in the cities with one-million population, and then step by step – all over the country.
