Ukrtransgaz can increase natural gas import from Slovakia to 40 million cubic meters daily
The operator of the gas transport system of Ukraine, JSC Ukrtransgaz can provide for an increase in gas supplies from Slovakia to 40 million cubic meters per day.
Head of the company’s department of public relations and media Maksym Bilyavsky reported the news to an Ukrinform correspondent on Friday .
“The company is ready to provide an increase in gas import supplies from Slovakia up to 40 million cubic meters on a daily basis,” a spokesman said.
He also said that the Slovak gas transmission system operator Eustream conducts a procedure for booking additional capacities of 8.5 million cubic meters per day “Open Season” from 23 January to 5 February 2015.
Bilyavsky stated that as of January 21, the daily natural gas supply from Slovakia totaled 30.7 million cubic meters. Since the beginning of the month, Ukraine received more than 600 million cubic meters of natural gas through Slovak gas transit pipeline.
