To implement the initiative of Ukraine’s President Poroshenko, the state-run corporation Ukroboronprom will hike its annual production of tanks from five to 120 units each year.
Corporation’s CEO Roman Romanov announced the news on Friday, Ukrinform reported.
“Within the framework of initiatives by President of Ukraine, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and ” state-run corporation Ukroboronprom consider the possibility to raise production of Ukrainian tanks from five to 120 units per year” he said.
The official also informed that 50 armored cars will roll out from Ukrainian factories and their numbers should go up twofold next year.
