Ukrainian rescuers received $800,000 worth of equipment from the United States

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted on November 7, 2022, that the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received more than $800,000 worth of equipment from American partners.

“For several months in a row, the International Research and Exchange Board (IREX), with the support of the US State Department, has been providing critical equipment for Service’s units throughout Ukraine for a total amount of more than 800,000 US dollars within the framework of the “Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund” program,” noted the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Rescuers received 117 metal detectors, 200 concrete cutters and 85 drones, as well as 11 MEPAK underwater metal detectors. STIHL concrete cutters and their additional equipment are actively used for cutting metal and concrete structures, and rescuing people from the rubble.

“DJI Mavic 3 drones operate in 24 regions of Ukraine to effectively eliminate fires, search for people and coordinate the effective work of the State Emergency Service,” concluded the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
