The new rules for obtaining a “Polish card” will come into force on July 29. Ukrainians will be able to submit a relevant application in any office of the voivodship, where a “card” will be issued. According to the new rules, applications can be submitted by those who previously issued such a card and those who do it for the first time. Previously, it was necessary to issue a “Polish card” through a Polish consulate outside the country.

The document will be valid for 10 years from the date of issue. To extend the validity of the card, you must submit a corresponding application no later than 3 months before its expiration.

Uaposition memo: The Pole’s card is an official confirmation of Polish origin and belonging to the Polish people. The holder of the card has certain privileges in Poland, for example, a simplified procedure for obtaining a permanent residence permit, an accelerated procedure for acquiring citizenship, free education at universities, discounts on transportation, etc.
