Ukrainian President`s 2016 e-declaration: $26 mln in bank accounts, flats, land and jewelry

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has submitted an electronic declaration of income for 2016, the document appeared on the website of the National Agency on Prevention of Corruption two hours before the deadline on Friday, March 31, according to the television news service TSN.

The declaration lists a 1,332-square-meter house in the village of Kozyn in Obukhivsky district in Kyiv region, two apartments in Kyiv with an area of 82.15 square meters and 68.2 square meters, TSN reported.

He also shares a Kyiv-based flat with his wife Maryna Poroshenko, its area is 80.66 square meters.

In addition, the president of Ukraine rents 0.75 hectares (ha) of land in the village of Kozyn, Obukhivsky district, and owns two plots there: 3.31 hectares and 0.12 ha. Also, Poroshenko`s assets include four plots of land in Kyiv with an area of 0.013 ha; 0.100 ha; 0.510 ha, and 0.630 ha.

The vehicles listed in the assets declaration are a Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI light van produced in 2010; a Jaguar XF 4.2 L V8 (2008), which belongs to Maryna Poroshenko, as well as a Bayliner 185 BR boat (2005).

In 2016, Petro Poroshenko earned UAH 366,342, or about $13,600, as an annual salary (an average of UAH 30,500, or $1,130, per month). Maryna Poroshenko`s salary for the year 2016 was UAH 75,000 (UAH 6,250 per month on the average).

What is more, Petro Poroshenko received UAH 11.9 million in interest from a deposit in his own bank International Invest Bank (IIB).

He also got UAH 26,252 from the sale of securities and corporate rights.

Moreover, the president keeps UAH 80,780, $25.921 million, 9,885 euros and 393 pounds sterling in IIB bank accounts. In addition, the Ukrainian president also declared $1.064 in an account at Rothschild Trust Schweiz AG, Zurich, Switzerland.

He also has $60,000 and UAH 180,000 in hard cash.

In addition, Poroshenko deposited UAH 8.190 million in PJSC Prime Assets Capital closed non-diversified corporate investment fund. He also lent UAH 1.111 million and $3.430 million to someone.

Maryna Poroshenko has UAH 115,117 and EUR 4,300 in accounts at IIB.

The e-declaration also mentions that last summer Maryna Poroshenko paid EUR 11,700 for the use of a house in the city of Malaga in Spain.

The Ukrainian president also declared a large number of pieces of jewelry, works of art, as well as assets of many companies, including the Roshen confectionery corporation and the International Invest Bank.
