Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has ordered police to function in preemptive strike regime within the regions with high risk of terrorist attacks.
He announced the decision during a conference call with regional leaders in the Ukriane’s Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, Ukrinform reports.
“The task that I formulated to the police chiefs in regions is as follows: taking into account the gravity of situation and high risk of a terrorist threat from Russia, we must transit the operative observation regime of and careful documentation by the police into the preventive strike regime. Such kind of operations were carried out in Kharkiv. These types of operations will be conducted in Zaporizhia, Odesa and directly in the area of Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” Avakov said.
