“Certainly, the terrible cynical war crime that was committed in Olenivka has no excuse or forgiveness for those who ordered it and directly carried it out. And Ukrainian law enforcement officers are already working to identify all those who were involved in its organization. We have certain positions, including in non-controlled territories.”

Yenin said that everyone who committed war crimes against Ukraine would be brought to justice, and for this Ukraine would use all possible tools – both national jurisdiction and international courts.

He emphasized that with the terrorist attack in Olenivka, the enemy grossly violated all possible rules and customs of warfare, “killing, in fact, prisoners of war who were under the protection of the Geneva Convention”.
