Ukrainian intelligence service reports 3 KIA`s, 7 WIA`s among Donbas occupiers on Saturday

The Ukrainian intelligence service has reported that three occupiers of Donbas were killed in action (KIA) and another seven were wounded in action (WIA) on Saturday.
”New losses in the units and formations of the 1st (Donetsk) and 2nd (Luhansk) Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been recorded. On August 13, three KIA`s and seven WIA`s were reported as casualties of the 11th separate motorized rifle regiment (Makiyivka), the 9th separate assault motorized rifle regiment of the marines (Novoazovsk) and the 3rd separate motorized rifle brigade (Horlivka) of the 1st Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Russia, and also the 7th separate motorized rifle brigade (Debaltseve) of the 2nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Russia,” the Ukrainian Defense Ministry`s main intelligence department has reported in a statement on Facebook.
Some of the casualties have been identified: Mikhail Kolesnik (born on March 18, 1987), Viacheslav Makarov (November 12, 1981), Vladimir Kiselev (1973), and Anton Savin.
”Given increased casualties, fighting under coercion, as well as regular racketeering by commanders, namely the seizure of stolen property, the number of cases when troops of the 1st Army Corps of the Russian armed forces abandon their posts in temporarily occupied territory has increased. These are mainly soldiers who had criminal records and were released from prison ahead of schedule under a special mobilization program,” the statement said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, there were skirmishes in the villages of Mykolaivka and Bohdanivka in eastern Ukraine before dawn on Saturday. During those brief armed provocations, the enemy`s special forces units opened fire with grenade-launchers and small arms. Having faced significant resistance in both sections, the enemy had to retreat, the ATO headquarters reported on Sunday.
