Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry approves increase in railway tariffs

Tariff Committee of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has agreed the increase in tariffs on passenger and cargo transportation by rail in 2017 proposed by PJSC Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) in a draft financial plan, Ukrzaliznytsia CEO Wojciech Balczun said at a press conference.

”Tariff Committee of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has approved our position to raise tariffs for the next year,” he said, without specifying what percentage of increase was finally agreed by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ministry of Infrastructure agreed a draft financial plan of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia for 2017, despite the fact that the document did not meet the criteria of the company`s development.
