Ukrainian gas transport system meets requirements posed to world`s leading companies – Ukrtransgaz

The industrial process control system within the Ukrainian gas transport system (GTS), in terms of safety and efficient provision of services on gas transportation and storage, has been certified based upon four international standards, which corresponds to the operating level of companies – GTS operators in Germany, France and Slovakia.

”The operator of Ukraine`s GTS is one of four European gas companies that have implemented and certified four or more process control systems that are internationally recognized in the world. Apart from Ukrtransgaz, the top three companies, include French GRTgaz, Slovak Eustream S.A. and German E.ON,” the press service of Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine`s GTS, said in a statement.

According to the press service, the company`s operations are carried out, in accordance with four standards – quality management system (ISO 9001), environmental management system (ISO 14001), energy management system (ISO 50001), occupational health, and safety management system (OHSAS 18001). The same four standards have been put in place by European GTS operators, including GRTgaz, Eustream S.A. and E.ON.

According to the report, the implementation of these standards has helped improve the efficiency in the use of energy resources and reduced the company`s production costs.
