Ukrainian army took control of 12 settlements near Kherson on November 9

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny noted that Ukraine liberated 12 settlements in the Kherson region (south of Ukraine) on November 9, 2022.

“Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine moved up to 7 km, and took control of 6 settlements, and returned up to 107 square kilometers of territory to Ukraine in the direction of Petropavlivka-Novoraisk on November 9, 2022,” noted the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian army advanced 7 km, took control of 6 settlements, the area of liberated land is 157 square kilometers in the direction of Pervomaisk-Kherson.

Valery Zaluzhny also reported that the advance of Ukrainian troops into the depth of Russia’s defense is up to 36.5 km in the Kherson direction since October 1, 2022, and the total area of the liberated territory reaches 1,381 square km. During this time, Ukraine was able to regain control over 41 settlements.

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the logistics routes and damaged the control system of Russia’s troops in the Kherson direction. Therefore, the Russian army had no other choice but to flee.
