Ukraine`s state debt in July falls to $67 bln

The total amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt in July fell by 0.2%, or $125.8 million, according to the Finance Ministry.

The total volume of public and publicly guaranteed debt as of late July 2016 has amounted to $66.995 billion, which is 0.2%, or $125.8 million less than at the beginning of the month, the ministry reported on its website.

In hryvnia equivalent, the total amount of debt in the said period was recorded at UAH 1.661 trillion, down by 0.4%, or by UAH 6.892 billion from the figure recorded at the beginning of the month.

According to the data released, since the beginning of the year, in January-July, the amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt in U.S. dollars has increased by 2.3% or $1.490 billion, which in the hryvnia equivalent is up by 5.7%, or by UAH 89.181 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the total amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine at the end of June 2016 amounted to $67.116 billion, up 2.5%, or by $1.610 billion dollars, compared to the figures recorded at the beginning of the current year.

In the hryvnia equivalent, the total amount of public and publicly guaranteed debt at the end of June 2016 amounted to UAH 1.668 trillion, which is 6.1%, or UAH 95.952 billion, more than at the beginning of the year.
